Here at school I attend Cornerstone Bible Church in Xenia, OH. Last January, the pastor went on a missions trip to Tambov, Russia, in order to edify the church there and help them. Today, the pastor from the church in Tambov came to Cornerstone and preached.
It was an experience to hear Russian spoken. The sermon was spoken in sentences or clips, first by the Pastor and then by a translator.
His message was on three questions that God asks of people. The first was asked of Adam, "Where are you" and is asking man where he is in his relationship with God. The second was asked of Jeremiah, "What do you see" and is asking what man sees when he looks on a broken world. Are we seeing it as God sees it, in need of a light, or are we seeing it as man sees it, a broken world we do not care for? The third question was asked of Isaiah, "Who will go for me", asking who will go and reach the dying world. He finished his sermon by going to Rev. and reading the passage on Laodicea, reminding us that we are not to be a church that is lukewarm, but that we are to be hot for the answers to these questions.
Everyday I must ask myself: Where am I in my relationship with God? How do I see the world, through God's eyes or my own? Where will I go for Christ?
