Here is an imaginary day in the life of a college student at the cafeteria. Lots of recipes!

Breakfast:

Outrageous Omelet:

Take three eggs, crack in a cup. Stir with some milk. Collect fresh veggies from the salad bar (open during breakfast!), cut them up and begin sautéing on griddle. Next, mix in your eggs. Either stir with a spatula, or let cook until you can flip over on itself, thus creating the true omelet effect. Feel free to have more filling than eggs.

Ps.- The silent "e" in the middle of omelet kept throwing me off when typing this. Phonetically, this word breaks all kinds of rules. Ommmmlet.

Lunch:

Stocky Salad:

Begin with going through the salad bar and putting all the ingredients offered on the bar onto your salad. Next, go to the other salad bar and repeat, only skipping all the toppings you have already put on. Proceed to the deli bar and/or the stir fry bar in search of fresh, non-deep-fried meat. If this is a ham/turkey Sunday, go to the main line and receive your fresh, real, ham/turkey. Grab some fruit from the fruit bar, either canned or fresh, and top salad. Next, drizzle (not drench!) your salad with your desired salad dressing. For a lighter version, go with some hummus. It adds some spice.

Top this meal off with a glass of milk. Yum!

Beguiling Bruchetta:

Grab some "homemade bread", preferably thick slices, and put them through the rotating toaster ovens to lightly toast. Next, mix up some olive oil, crushed dried basil, and tomatoes from the Mexican bar. If there is red vinegar, it makes the bruchetta more beguiling. Place over top of the toast. Top with some mozzarella cheese from the stir fry bar. Gently place in sandwich smasher, making sure someone else's overtopped sandwich holds the top up from smashing the bruchetta. This will lightly toast the cheese.

Voila!

Dinner:

Stir Fry:

Start with some pasta from pasta bar, or rice from stir fry bar. Mix with choice of sauce from same bar, and fresh veggies. Sauté lightly, making sure to move fast in preference for the next person in line. Also, only use half the griddle. Put two eggs right on top, mixing in and moving the entire meal around your half of the griddle for approx. 2 min. If it needs to be hotter, put it in the microwave. Add in some spices!

Steamed Broccoli:

Place uncooked broccoli from the wrap line in a bowl. Put a little water in it, cover it with a small plate, and stick it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. When it comes out, it is greener and fresher than the broccoli in the veggie line.

Dessert:

Alluring Apple:

Using the apple corer, core and slice your apple. Place equal parts peanut butter and chocolate chips in a small bowl. Dip apple, and enjoy!

Tasty Treat:

Fill a bowl halfway with crispy rice. Place marshmallows on top, and include a small pat of whipped butter. Microwave for less than a minute, or until marshmallows are entirely puffy and stuck together. Mix together. Optionally, include chocolate chips. I prefer this treat plain. Delicious!

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
